Kent Lane
Kent serves as the DE&I Supplier Diversity and Community Outreach Manager for McCarthy Building Companies’ Southwest Region, bringing over 12 years of public sector experience focused on small business and workforce development. His background includes leading programs for the City of Phoenix and the Arizona Department of Transportation, where his efforts were recognized by the Federal Highway Administration for developing one of the nation’s top DBE Supportive Services programs.
A proud Air Force Veteran, Kent retired from Luke Air Force Base in 2020, bringing valuable leadership skills to his current role. At McCarthy, he supports the company’s enterprise goal of achieving 20% small business utilization across all regional projects, while also fostering relationships with community partners to enhance opportunities for diverse trade partners.
Additionally, Kent serves on the City of Chandler’s Human Relations Commission, advising on efforts to create a more inclusive and multicultural community. His commitment to advancing inclusion has earned him recognition, including the Rosa Parks Leadership Award from the Women in Transportation Seminar Metropolitan Phoenix chapter, as well as honors from other community-based organizations.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Kent finds passion in diverse interests, including March Madness, neuroscience, and his loyal companion, George, an 84-pound Sheepadoodle. His multifaceted background, unwavering commitment to diversity, and passion for community engagement make him an asset in driving positive change within McCarthy Building Companies and the broader community.
