Ignacio Malave has worked in the concrete industry since 1994. He started working his way up from a Laborer position, digging holes and ditches by hand. later setting forms and later learning how to pour and finish concrete.
He learned to start managing a crew as a Lead man learning the strategic daily task from working with well experience for mans who already had 30 years experience guiding him through the daily pre pour checks and blue print reading. Ignacio moved into the Main foreman position as his Mentor retired, Slowly being taught in every scope of work that the concrete industry builds such as Vertical Structural as well as flat work. from setting perimeter forms for slabs laying out imbeds to setting up meandering complex custom steps and vertical columns to Poured in place stamped concrete. Ignacio was dedicated to his work He was hungry to learn everything about the concrete industry. Starting from laying out customs homes, to building out footings and caissons, Structural Grade Beams and elevator shafts for large commercial buildings.
Ignacio had the ability to multi task often he found him self managing several crews that eventually moved him up to a Field General super intend ant over seeing all the scopes of work from beginning to the end of projects.
It came natural because he new all the moving parts well, especially on how long it would take to do each task, because he himself already had been in that position and new every step of the Job.
Now it was time to manage the Footing ,Structural and flat work crews to coordinate with the daily and monthly schedules with the Local General contractors and private commercial Residential clients and customers.
These days Ignacio spends most of his time in the office making sure the office structure is on task, He is running the front line of the company constantly working with our full time estimator and shaking hands at local networking events, planning the future work ahead of us.
All the leadership positions in the field he has worked personally in the field and side by side with him in the beginning, now he trust them to emulate his work ethics and visions out in the field on their own.
Communication is huge in our Company, Ignacio always feels that if one person is failing, we are all failing, its important to work together as a team to allow this company to grow. With out our solid base office staff to field crews out in the field we would not be where were at today if it were not for our team members making it happen !
Just as he learned slowly through working with very knowledgeable experienced carpenter, form setters finishers, and superintendents over the years he has mastered the respect on what it takes to make jobs go smooth and on schedule. We value what we have because it took 16 years to build it where we are today. we learned from our mistakes and continued to make better choices and be more focused on how to be more efficient ! and stay focused on what we do best !
